Announcing Dr. Carolyn C. Meltzer as Dean of the Keck School of Medicine of USC

On behalf of President Folt, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Carolyn C. Meltzer has been named as the new dean of the Keck School of Medicine of USC and will hold the May S. and John H. Hooval Dean’s Chair in Medicine. She is the ideal choice to join our leadership team, and will build on the Keck School of Medicine’s formidable achievements, and take the school’s research, education, clinical care, and community engagement efforts to the next level. Dr. Meltzer will join USC on March 1, 2022.

Future Transition at the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance

Dean Rob Cutietta has shared his decision with me to step down as dean of the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance at the end of the academic year, effective June 30, 2022. I am grateful that he will remain this year to continue to lead USC Kaufman, as he has since the school opened in 2015. He also will step down as dean of the USC Thornton School of Music, which he has led for the past 19 years.

Announcing Dana Goldman as Dean of the USC Price School of Public Policy

On behalf of President Folt, I am pleased to announce that Dr. Dana Goldman has been appointed as dean of the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. Dr. Goldman will hold the C. Erwin and Ione L. Piper Dean’s Chair. He has served as interim dean of the Price School since July 1, 2020.
