School of Architecture Search Update

Dear USC School of Architecture Community,

We are deeply appreciative of your contributions to the search for the next dean of the USC School of Architecture, including the search advisory committee members, everyone who joined the candidate forums, and all of you who have sent us thoughtful comments and feedback. I am writing today to let you know that we are planning to extend the search for the next dean of the School of Architecture.

We are doing this to ensure we can find a dean that will match the aspirations of the School and who can collaborate with our exceptional students, faculty, and staff to achieve the School’s goals for the future. I am very pleased to share that Dean Willow Bay has agreed to continue serving as Interim Dean as the search process continues. Over the last year, Willow has worked closely and collaboratively to guide the School between permanent deans, and I am confident the School will continue to benefit from her invaluable experience.

Dean Dana Goldman, of the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, and Ginger Clark,
Associate Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs, will continue to co-chair the
USC School of Architecture Search Advisory Committee. Incoming Provost Andrew
Guzman will continue to provide updates directly to you as the search continues.

Thank you for your passion, for your commitment to the USC School of Architecture community, and for all your contributions to the search process. Our architecture school is unique and exceptional, and I am confident we will locate the best person to serve as dean.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth A. Graddy

Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
