Public Policy Dean Leadership Profile

Position Summary

The University of Southern California invites applications and nominations for the next Dean of its Sol Price School of Public Policy. Reporting directly to Provost Charles Zukoski, the Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the School and is essential in guiding its future.

The next Dean of the Price School will embrace the school’s ambitious mission of improving the quality of life for people and their communities worldwide through education, research, and preparing the next generation of leaders to serve in major public policy roles. The Dean’s strategic and operational leadership will be founded on an outstanding record of scholarship and community practice. As a bold and visionary leader, they will further position the school’s eminent faculty and students as drivers of global, federal, state and local policy, elevating the school’s areas of excellence, including health policy & management, nonprofits & philanthropy, public administration, public policy, national security, real estate development, and urban planning. The Dean will further develop new areas of excellence by hiring new faculty and leveraging connections the Price School has with other outstanding faculty across the University.
